A new year, a new start
It’s the first day of the new year, and Yard’s brewery no longer has a home. Since the photo above shows the status of the brewery as of November 2007, I’m not exactly sure what that means for the future of the brew. For the sake of beer drinkers here in Philadelphia, I hope the future is bright, but I guess we’ll find that out later.
In the meantime, I wish you and yours much great cheer and great beer in the new year.
UPDATE: It occurs to me that I wasn’t exactly clear in the post above - Yard’s is moving, not closing, and the photo is of the new brewery facility. The old Yard’s brewery will become the Philadelphia Brewing Company. The new Yard’s should open in 2008 some time, although the photos on the website are still from November. I’ll be sure to post on the progress as soon as I have more info.
