Brew Ha Ha: making a fuss about beer

Some time ago I was “tagged” by Heather at http://www.acreativejournal.com/. I haven’t responded because of outages and, well, because sometimes that happens. Apparently I’m supposed to list seven odd things about myself, so I’ll try keep this beer-related.

1. I didn’t really drink beer until I was living in Germany
2. When I did start drinking beer, it was a purely economic decision - I simply got tired of drinking 0.2 l bottles of warm coke while others around me paid the same amount for 0.5 l of chilled beer.
3. When I returned to the US, my kind and sympathetic roommates (who were also homebrewers) rebottled some Rolling Rock in a bottle of Spaten. I was too proud to admit I didn’t like it as much as I felt I should, and too dumb to realize that was what they had done. The rest is an endless source of mocking.
4. I bartended for a (very) brief period of time in law school. I was a lousy bartender, but I did inadvertently pick up a man. Problem is, I’m not gay.
5. Speaking of not gay, at least if you’re not from Europe or New Jersey, our wedding reception was in the brewery hall at Stoudt’s
6. I used to collect beer cans (I still have a full can of Billy beer)
7. I also used to have a beer-label backsplash in the kitchen
