Who knew that Budweiser produced beer steins for the Olympic games? I ran across this web site that sells the steins for each Olympics since 1982. It’s kind of an interesting niche. It’s hard to tell which are the best sellers because “sold out” is only indicative of the results if […]

Despite what is an apparent confirmation that InBev is moving ahead with its acquisition of Anheuser-Busch, fans of A-B are still hopeful.
An online petition at SaveBudweiser.com has garnered nearly 62,000 signatures. You can sign the petition here.
You can also buy a “Save Budweiser” tee shirt on the site. The “keep our beer here” […]

If the rumors are to be believed, frat boys across America don’t even have to leave their sofas to play beer pong. Their favorite drinking game is coming directly to the computer thanks to Nintendo’s Wii.
JV Games Inc. has announced that its newly formed Frat Party Games will be releasing a Beer Pong video […]

When I first heard the story of Bill Bramanti’s designer beer coffin, I figured it had to be a one in a million thing.
You see, Mr. Branmanti’s favorite beer is Pabst Blue Ribbon. He is such a fan that he recently commissioned a coffin to look like a can of PBR. Bramanti […]

Shopping yesterday at Wegmans, I saw a Yuengling Lager Hot Sauce. I decided to check it out online before buying a bottle and - nothing. Not a mention on Yuengling’s site, or Wegman’s either.
Has anyone tried this?

The article prattles on about how great it is, but at 2008 Danish Krone (or over $426) a bottle you won’t be reading about it here. Apparently the folks at Jocobsen don’t really want you to […]

This is the coolest thing ever. The Asahi beerbot is a robot which is also a beer fridge, and it can pull out a beer, open it, and pour it into a glass for you. Even better, it holds up to six beers. The only problem is, it’s sold out, and since the manufacture of […]

I don’t really understand how facebook works, but apparently users have been using a facebook application called beer wars to rate and promote their favorite beers. The beer wars people describe it as follows:
In case you don’t already know, Beer Wars is a cool new Facebook app that allows you to nominate:

Now that you all have access to a free guide to homebrewing, you need a way to serve all of that wonderful, inexpensive beer you’ve been brewing. What would be better than your own kegerator? Thanks to the folks at Real Beer (who in turn got the info from the Beverage Factory), those of you […]

As a beer lover, I’ve often considered brewing my own beer. The possibilities seem endless - brown ales, pale ales, stouts, fancy Belgian-style beers - all for a little effort and at a significantly lower cost than the same number of cases of beer. That, and I’d truly understand and know my beers.
Then I […]
