Hey, that’s my beer … or is it yours?
Sick and tired of losing your beer at a party? I remember my wedding reception, which was held at Stoudt’s brewery in lovely Adamstown, PA. I’d get a beer from the bar, wander over to a table, the dance floor, or wherever, put it down, and my beer would be immediately surrounded by a host of identical beer glasses with varying levels of beer. Either that or one of the staff would deem it abandoned and sweep it away in a burst of overzealous cleanliness. Sadly, the same thing happens at my own parties, with slightly befuddled guests trying to determine whether they had finished half, one third, or three quarters of their beer while staring intently at a table full of partial beers.
In any case, a manufacturer oddly named Fred has come up with the solution! Fred manufactures a series of color-coded beer bands which you can slip on your bottle or glass. As long your guests are sober enough to remember their color they should be able to find their beer. Fred has also come up with a solution to a host of other entertaining problems you didn’t know you had, so the website’s worth checking out for that hard-to-please entertainer.
Of course, if you have a wife like mine who sometimes cleans up my beer before it’s done, the beer band can’t do much about that. Maybe they should add an alarm.
