More to read
I posted earlier on possible gifts for your beer-oriented readers. If you want to give a gift which won’t be put on the bookshelf and possibly forgotten, you could always try a magazine subscription.
Homebrewers and those interested in the process and chemistry of brewing will likely enjoy Zymurgy, which comes free with membership in the American Homebrewers Association.
All About Beer is a more traditional beer magazine for the beer drinker, and seems like a pretty balanced magazine, all told. The simply named Beer looks a little sophomoric for my taste, but it may well be worth checking out. Beer advocate, on the other hand, looks as though it may even be too serious for me, but I can’t say as I’ve read that one either. The UK magazine Beers of the World made for a good read, but is obviously better suited for the beer Anglophile, or at least Europhile.
There are a lot more out there, and at some point I’ll do a more comprehensive review. If you have an opinion, drop a comment for the rest of us.
