Russian bears brandish beer boycott
The Czechs are serious about their beers, so serious that they routinely beat out fellow beer lovers Ireland and Germany in per capita beer consumption.
Now, in a foreign policy spat stemming from the Czech Republic’s recent agreement with the US for the placement of an anti-missile radar system on Czech soil, Russia is threatening to boycott Czech beer. Czech beer makes up only a small part of the already small market for imported beer in Russia, and much of the “Czech” beer sold in Russia is actually brewed in Russia anyway.
Russia’s loss, wouldn’t you say?
