Savor this
So, apparently beer is trying to make it into the rarified air long occupied by wine and cognac. At least, that’s what the Washington Post would have you believe based on this article about the Savor event in Washington DC.
Frankly, although I’m not sure I’m ready to take my beer quite that seriously, it’s probably a good thing to have these slightly more highbrow event, if only to counteract the effect of the many beer blasts which give our favorite beverage a bad name. That said, I’ll stick to things like Stoudt’s Microfest or even a microbrew at the local minor-league ball game.
