Top beer stories of 2007
It’s a little late in the game for a top ten list, but here’s an interesting post from the Brookstone beer bulletin listing some of the top beer stories from last year. As per my earlier post, the biggest news for beer lovers may be the short supply of hops and barley, followed by the loss of Michael Jackson.
In Philadelphia beer news, the possible loss of Yards tied with the opening of Dock Street (which I still haven’t managed to visit, check back next week). Hopefully we’ll keep both.
If you know of another story which deserves to be in the top ten, share it here.

Yards isn’t “going” anywhere. Or, literally speaking, it’s just moving down the street. The Philly Brewing Company is setting up all their stuff in the Kensington location right now, and Yard’s is setting up “new” equipment down on Delaware Ave. There might be a bit of delay, but it’ll be short lived and you’ll be seeing both PBC and Yards brews around, I think, in late February.

That’s true, as I put in my earlier post. It would be nice to see an update to the November photos just to reassure those of us who are concerned about these things …

Oh, I, too, am concerned about these things–I certainly don’t want to love out on Yards ESA, IPA or GW Tavern Porter. And I haven’t even tried Trubbel de Yards, yet. But from everything I’ve heard, Yards is making the transition pretty smoothly.

Looking back at my old post, I can see that I wasn’t really clear at all. My apologies, the post has been updated to make it clear that Yard’s is in fact working on a new facility. I too look forward to more Yards beer, hoping to see Yard’s Brawler on tap again soon.
